WHY IS THE NIN LINKING IMPORTANT?
The NIN Linking is important because it gives certification that you are the owner of the number you are using and a registered Nigerian citizen. If you are reading this post without an NIN, do well to get yourself registered. And if you have already, get it linked with your phone number(s) to avoid the punishment that comes with not doing it.

HOW TO LINK NIN TO AIRTEL, MTN AND 9MOBILE NUMBERS
Below are the ‘easiest’ methods you can use to link your NIN to either an Airtel, MTN or 9Mobile number.
1. USSD METHOD:
In this method, you can use a single code to complete the linking on all network providers. It is the special code from the NIMC, made for USSD NIN operations.
Step 1: Simply head on to your phone dialer and dial *346# to generate a VNIN. Follow the on screen prompts to get your VNIN (Virtual NIN).
Step 2: After you have gotten your VNIN, dial *996# on your dialer.
Step 3: On the new screen, choose Virtual NIN (VNIN) and follow on screen prompts to complete your linking. This is the same for Airtel, MTN, 9Mobile and even Glo.
I already made a post on how to link an NIN to a Glo number. Do well to check it out. Let's move on.

This method is the same as well for all network providers. No need to repeat the same steps for each one. Simply use the verified links provided above in this section of the post to get it done.
