Battle Royale games are not left out in video games discussion, as they have become very popular in the late 2010s. Mobile Battle royale games have become the most played, due to optimisation features and reach (basically anyone with a good mobile device can join the fun).

Battle Ground, Battle In Style’, the iconic intro to royale matches in Free Fire. When it comes to downloads, Free Fire takes it all, it is the battle royale game with the highest downloads since release.
Free Fire was released on the 8th of December, 2017. The game was developed by Garena and published by Garena as well. Just like other battle royale games, players either team up or play solo to win matches in various maps/locations.
So far, Free Fire has made over $1 Billion in revenue since its release, and is bagging more as more users play and spend to top up.

Though not on my number one spot, PUBG takes the crown as the foundation of battle royale games. The mobile version of PUBG was launched officially on the 19th of March, 2018.
The game was developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio alongside PUBG Studios and Published by Krafton, Tencent and VNG Games respectively. So far since its release, it has become one of the most played mobile battle royale games.
According to a Wikipedia article, PUBG has garnered over 1.3 Billion players in total as of 2022, with over $9 Billion made in revenue, and numerous downloads both on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. It is known for its winning celebration known as ‘Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner’.

Now, the father of them all, though not the first mover in mobile BR games, the COD franchise has been a very huge one. CODM was released on the first of October 2019. It was developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Activision and Garena for mobile devices.
CODM is popularly known for its realistic first person shooter gameplay and graphics and it deserves the number one spot on my list. I bet you all will agree with me on this. So far, CODM has made over $480 Million in revenue from in-game spending by players and other aspects.
Like other battle royale games, CODM features and rolls out game characters and skins from celebrities, personalities to other COD franchise characters and more. See some key features and more below.

CODM's Battle Royale combines the franchise's signature shooter gameplay with strategic survival elements.
WHY IT'S ON MY LIST: First off, realistic gameplay, weapons, iconic COD franchise maps and characters. Only downside of CODM is that it requires a high end device to get the best out of it, which is a limitation to average or below average humans. Overall, I can't seem to find any fault in CODM to be honest.
