HOW MOST DATA SHARING WORKS

Well, I do think it is self explanatory. However, data sharing can come in so many ways, on the Airtel network, it's either you send a particular amount of data from your current balance to another Airtel user, or you buy data and gift it to them from your airtime balance.

On the glo network, it's pretty much the same. Though on Glo, the user with whom you shared your Data with, will continue to use your data until you unshare and remove his or her number from the list of numbers you are sharing data with. I hope that is clear enough. Now let us touch on the main purpose of this Informative post.

HOW TO SHARE DATA ON GLO

– First off, enter your device Dialer and dial *312#, which is the general USSD code for everything Data on all network providers in Nigeria.

– Select option 3 which Is Share Data. On the next screen, select Share Data Again.

– Now enter the recipient number and a confirmation message will be sent to you confirming your data share status.

Want a more simpler approach? You can skip the above steps and simply dial *321#, then follow the remaining steps using the above information.

NOTE: If you share your data on Glo with any Glo user, that person will use out of your data bundles anytime, anywhere as long as he or she is still added to your data share list.

HOW TO UNSHARE DATA ON GLO

If you want to remove a number from the list of numbers sharing data with you on Glo, use the steps below.

Dial the same data share code which is *321#, select option 2 this time around which is unshare data. Now enter the number you wish to unshare data with and the number will be removed immediately.

GLO DATA GIFTING: HOW TO GIFT DATA ON GLO

Now on Glo, you can also do data gifting to another Glo user, this is the aspect where Glo uses the same pattern as other networks. When you are gifting data, the fee for the data plan will be deducted from your airtime balance. Learn how you can gift data on the Glo Network below;

– Dial *312# on your Dialer

– Select data gifting

– Choose the plan you want and the amount (this depends on you).

– Now enter the recipient Glo number

– On the next screen, enter zero (0) to confirm the transaction. And that is it.

NOTE: When you gift data to a Glo number, the fee will be deducted from your airtime balance. Let us say for example, you gift a data plan worth N50 and your initial balance was N100, N50 will be deducted from your airtime balance and you will be left with N50 as current airtime balance. I hope that is clear enough.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Sometimes you may come across trouble while making these operations, such as network issues, low airtime balance and more.

If you try to share, unshare or gift data and it brings up a connection error, kindly wait and try again another time as it may be a network issue.

If you are low on airtime when doing gifting, well you know what to do, simply recharge your Glo SIM and try again.

Lastly, you can only share data to 5 Glo numbers at once, nothing more. I'm saying just In case you want to share with more than 5 people.
